Happy World Teddy Bear Day!

Happy World Teddy Bear Day, everyone! 

Today is the most magical, important day of the whole entire year for bears like me, because the entire world is celebrating our soft paws and cuddly hearts! 

Did you know that we got our very name all the way back in 1902 because of American President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt, when he refused to harm a little bear cub?

Around that exact same magical time, the wonderful Margarete Steiff in Germany was busy stitching the very first jointed mohair bears with buttons in their ears, and just like that, the world was filled with teddy love forever!

To celebrate our big day, Mummy let me show off my absolute favourite pride and joy: my very own teddy bear dollshouse! All my tiny miniature friends are having a grand tea party inside, peeking out the windows and enjoying the festivities. 

Mummy is also sharing photos of our breath taking Steiff teddy bear family today, from our handsome limited editions and distinguished vintage replicas to our sweet little nursery cubs. Every single bear here brings so much comfort, history, and pure magic to our home.

Whether your favourite bear is old and well worn, shiny and new, tiny enough to fit in a pocket, or sitting proudly on a shelf, today is the day to give them the biggest, squishiest hug!
